Cultural Palace Rafael Uribe Uribe

The Stateliness of this neoclassical gothic building, designed and built by the Belgian architect Agustín Goovaerts between 1929 and1937, forms part of the whole which is Medellín’s culture and patrimony.

At the moment, it is the headquaters of  El Instituto de Cultura y Patrimonio de Antioquia (the Cultural and patrimonial Institue of Antioquia) and houses treasures such as the Historic Archive of Antioquia,  the Hernán Restrepo Duque State Music Library and the Center for Musical Documentation, among others.
